Dodgers reveal new player uniform numbers.

The Dodgers revealed uniform numbers for a number of their new acquisitions on Tuesday. The suspense probably wasn’t killing you for Jimmy Rollins or Howie Kendrick, who already had jersey-unveiling ceremonies at Dodger Stadium. Here are the rest:

Yasmani Grandal 9
Jimmy Rollins 11
Juan Nicasio 12
Kiké Hernandez 14
Chris Heisey 28
Joc Pederson 31
Brett Anderson 35
Adam Liberatore 36
Brandon McCarthy 38
Chris Hatcher 41
Joe Wieland 45
Mike Bolsinger 46
Howie Kendrick 47
Zach Lee 51
Joel Peralta 62
Austin Barnes 65
Chris Reed 67
Scott Schebler 83

A couple notes on these:

1. Pederson is switching from 65 to 31, which was worn by Drew Butera the past couple years.

2. Anderson has never worn 35 in his career (he wore 49 with Oakland from 2009-13 and 30 last year with Colorado).

3. Kendrick keeps the only number he’s ever worn, while Rollins keeps the number he wore almost exclusively in Philadelphia.

4. Lee moved down the unofficial list of Dodgers prospect rankings but his jersey moves up, from 64 to 51.

5. Grandal apparently couldn’t keep either of the numbers he wore in San Diego: 12 was being worn by assistant hitting coach John Valentin, and now Nicasio; 8 is being worn by manager Don Mattingly. Nine was last worn, of course, by Dee Gordon.

6. Peralta will become the first Dodger to wear number 62 in a regular-season game since pitcher Jose Nunez, who played six games in 2001.

7. Update. Looks like Anderson learned he’d be wearing number 35 on the internet.
