Dodgers Spanish-language broadcaster Jaime Jarrín will receive Servite High School’s National Leader Award for his exemplary broadcasting career and for his commitment to helping disadvantaged Latino youth receive a quality education.
Jarrin, 79, will receive his award tonight at Servite’s fifth annual Excellence in Leadership Dinner at the Anaheim Marriott.
The school also announced the establishment of the Jaime Jarrín Scholarship Award, which will be granted to deserving students from economically impacted backgrounds. Servite High School, founded in 1958, is a Catholic college preparatory school with 900 students from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
