Jimmy Rollins‘ three-run home run made him the biggest man in the clubhouse after the Dodgers’ 6-3 win over the San Diego Padres on Opening Day. Colleague Vincent Bonsignore caught up with Matt Kemp before and after his first game as a visiting player at Dodger Stadium. Chris Hatcher got the save, and saved the game ball. Clayton Kershaw successfully lobbied for A.J. Ellis to catch for him — this time.
