Julio Urias will make one more start before he undergoes elective surgery.

Julio Urias eyeDodgers pitching prospect Julio Urias will miss 4-5 weeks after undergoing elective cosmetic surgery on his left eye later this month. Urias, 18, was born with a benign tumor on the eye, which does not affect his vision.

The left-hander has a 3.00 ERA in seven starts for Double-A Tulsa this season. His opponents, all of whom are older, have a .194/.246/.318 slash line. Urias’ 46 strikeouts rank first in the Texas League and his 0.94 WHIP ranks fourth.

According to a source, Urias will make one more start before he has the surgery, which is tentatively scheduled for May 28.
