ST. LOUIS >> The Dodgers’ frustrations boiled over in a 3-0 loss to the Cardinals, their fourth straight scoreless defeat away from Dodger Stadium. It was a good day for looking ahead to the Corey Seager era — which isn’t at all a reflection on shortstop Jimmy Rollins, who went 2-for-4 with a double tonight.

Not long after the game went final, the Giants beat the Atlanta Braves 4-2 and surpassed the Dodgers for sole possession of first place in the National League West. The Dodgers haven’t had at least a share of first place since the ninth game of the season back on April 15.

Tonight’s box score is here.
