Watch: Scott Schebler talks about his first major league-call up.

The Dodgers recalled outfielder Scott Schebler from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday and optioned Daniel Coulombe to Triple-A. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said they wanted a hitter, rather than a pitcher, with Howie Kendrick still receiving treatment for a knee injury.

Schebler is batting seventh and playing left field tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals, who are starting a right-handed pitcher (Carlos Martinez). The 24-year-old from Iowa, a 26th-round draft pick by the Dodgers in 2010, talked about his long-awaited debut prior to the game. You can watch the interviews here and here.
