Reports: Phillies, Rangers agree on pieces of Cole Hamels trade.

Cole Hamels has been linked to the Dodgers in trade rumors for years. Wednesday night, it was reported by multiple outlets that Hamels will be traded to the Texas Rangers instead.

The Rangers are currently eight games out of a wild card spot in the American League. It’s theoretically possible that Hamels could still be flipped to the Dodgers (who are already in the process of making a flurry of trades), but this is not considered the expectation within the league.
