Watch: Howie Kendrick hits, runs, fields, will do the same thing tomorrow.

Howie Kendrick took some hacks on the field at Dodger Stadium on Monday in a simulated game, the first of two this week for the second baseman. Though the exercise was designed to merely help his timing, Kendrick hit a home run.

Here’s how he looked doing sprints after the sim game:

Kendrick, who hasn’t played since Aug. 9 because of a strained left hamstring, also took ground balls at second base during BP. He’s going to do the same tomorrow and could possibly make a rehab appearance for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga before he returns.
