Carl Crawford dealing with bursitis in left shoulder.

Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford isn’t starting against a right-handed pitcher, Chase Anderson of the Arizona Diamondbacks, because of bursitis in his left shoulder. Scott Van Slyke and Andre Ethier are playing left and right field, respectively.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly was vague about Crawford’s availability, but couldn’t rule him out as a possible pinch hitter or pinch runner.
