DENVER >> Hear that loud beeping noise in the street? That’s the sound of the Dodgers backing into a division title.

Mike Bolsinger and the Dodgers looked tired at times in their 7-4 loss to the Rockies (the box score is here) but the Giants’ 5-4 loss in Oakland a couple hours later reduced the Dodgers’ magic number to two. The Dodgers lead the National League West by eight with nine games left in the regular season.

Kike Hernandez’s return to the lineup could be imminent, though it comes with little fanfare.
