The New York Mets aren’t likely to announce their 25-man roster until they can determine the health of pitcher Steven Matz, who is a candidate to start the if-necessary Game 4 at Citi Field.
Matz, who’s recovering from tightness in his left (throwing) shoulder, told reporters in New York that he felt better Wednesday after throwing a bullpen session at Citi Field.
The 24-year-old left-hander made his major league debut in June and went 4-0 with a 2.27 ERA in six starts.
Rosters are not due to MLB until 10 a.m. Friday.
