Corey Seager will bat third in his playoff debut, and Joc Pederson starts over Kiké Hernandez in center field, in Game 1 of the National League Division Series.

Seager, 21, batted third in only two of his 25 starts this season while compiling a .337/.425/.561 slash line for the Dodgers following his Sept. 3 call-up.

Seager also batted twice on three occasions, and cleanup once.

Hernandez had been the Dodgers’ preferred center fielder by the end of August, though both he and Pederson were alternating in center — against both lefties and righties — after Hernandez returned from a hamstring injury in September.
