Peter O’Malley will present Vin Scully with Lifetime Achievement Award at LA Sports Awards.

First, Vin Scully got a street name.

Now, the Hall of Fame broadcaster will receive  the L.A. Sports Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Annual L.A. Sports Awards on Feb. 25. Former Dodgers president Peter O’Malley will present the award to Scully.

The two will engage in a 10-minute on-stage conversation during the show, which will be broadcast by Fox Sports West at a later date.

“I am always happy to spend time with my longtime friend Vin Scully,” O’Malley said in a statement released by the L.A. Sports Council. “Especially on an evening when he is receiving the well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award from the Los Angeles Sports Council and I know everyone will enjoy as he reminisces about his remarkable career.”
