Scott Van Slyke is day-to-day with a lower back injury.

Scott Van Slyke is considered day-to-day one day after leaving the Dodgers’ 3-2 win over the Giants with a lower back injury.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that the 29-year-old outfielder is “feeling considerably better than he did yesterday.”

Van Slyke isn’t in the Dodgers’ starting lineup and Roberts said he’d prefer to give him the day off entirely. The Dodgers have an off-day Monday prior to their home opener Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Trayce Thompson is starting in left field against Giants right-hander Johnny Cueto.
