The Dodgers outrighted Casey Fien to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, removing him from the 40-man roster while keeping him in the organization. The Dodgers are responsible for Fien’s $2.275 million salary this year.
Fien was claimed off waivers from the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. The right-hander did not appear in a game for the Dodgers after posting a 7.90 earned-run average in 14 games with the Twins.
There are 39 players on the 40-man roster.
