Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully ranks fifth on our annual list of the 50 Most Powerful in Southern California Sports. Scully moved up from sixth on our 2015 list.

The other Dodger folks on our list (last year’s rank in parentheses):

8. Mark Walter, chairman (5)
13. Stan Kasten, president/CEO (23)
15. Clayton Kershaw, pitcher (17)
19. Magic Johnson, co-owner (3)
22. Andrew Friedman, president of baseball operations (40)
47. Dr. Neal ElAttrache, team physician (48)

Walter is trending down while fans wait for him to deliver on the promise of a championship and better television distribution, writes colleague Tom Hoffarth. Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig dropped out of the top 50 altogether. Scott Boras, the agent to two current Dodgers and two of the team’s top prospects, also made the list.
