Brandon McCarthy, Hyun-Jin Ryu nearing major league returns.

PITTSBURGH — When Nick Tepesch‘s rotation spot comes up again next Tuesday, it won’t be in time for Hyun-Jin Ryu or Brandon McCarthy to make their long-awaited 2016 debut. But it’ll be close.

Both Ryu and McCarthy have about “one or two” starts left in their minor league rehab assignments, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday. Ryu is up to throwing 90 mph and McCarthy 93 at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
