Brett Anderson will start Thursday against the Colorado Rockies.

Dodgers pitcher Brett Anderson will be activated from the 15-day disabled list Thursday and start that night’s game against the Colorado Rockies.

Anderson, sidelined by a finger blister most of September, pitched a rehab game last Friday for Triple-A Oklahoma City. The left-hander allowed three hits and one run in five innings against the El Paso Chihuahuas, walking no one and striking out five. With the exception of a solo home run, he was able to limit the hard contact he allowed.

Anderson has made two major league starts after missing almost five months recovering from back surgery. He is 0-2, having recorded 12 outs and allowed 11 runs (24.75 ERA) in the games against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds.

Last year, Anderson went 10-9 with a 3.69 ERA in 31 starts for the Dodgers.

The rotation for the remainder of the four-game series remains to be determined.

If the Dodgers intend to have their three best starters — Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill and Kenta Maeda — start the season-ending series against the Giants Sept. 30-Oct. 2, then Kershaw and Hill will probably start Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

However, if the Dodgers clinch the National League West before then, their priorities might shift. They might opt to give Kershaw and Hill and more rest down the stretch. Both pitchers began the month recovering from injuries — Kershaw with his back, Hill a finger blister. Rest could benefit the two pitchers more than a meaningless start against the Rockies.

The Dodgers currently lead the second-place San Francisco Giants by six games with 12 to play. Their magic number to clinch the division is seven.

Veteran left-hander Scott Kazmir and rookie right-hander Jose De Leon are also possibilities to get starts down the stretch. One or both pitchers could follow Anderson this weekend against the Rockies, depending on how the standings look Friday.
