It costs more to park at Dodger Stadium than to attend Game 4 of the NLDS. Update.

Tickets to Game 4 of the National League Division Series between the Dodgers and Washington Nationals were retailing for as low as $5 on third-party websites in the hours before first pitch of today’s game.

Some field level seats were retailing for $6 on the website Gametime, while the website StubHub was selling left field pavilion seats for as little as $7 this morning. The website SeatGeek had dugout-area seats going for $90.

In some cases, it’s more expensive to park at Dodger Stadium than watch the game. General admission parking is $25 at the gate and $15 if you purchase your pass in advance (link here).

The unusually cheap tickets were made possible by an unusually early 2 p.m. (PT) start time. The game would have been at 5 p.m., but the San Francisco Giants came from behind to beat the Chicago Cubs in extra innings last night. Game 4 in San Francisco now occupies the 5 p.m. time slot on Fox Sports 1 instead.

Some Dodgers players didn’t learn that today’s game would begin at 2 p.m. until they woke up this morning.

Update (1:15 p.m.): Not all Dodger fans are pleased with the circumstances of the price drop.
