Dodgers 6, Marlins 2

After Lowe left, Joe Beimel, Takashi Saito, Jonathan Broxton and Chad Billingsley combined to retired the final 10 Marlins batters in a row. Matt Kemp homered leading off the ninth to cap the scoring for the Dodgers. Dodgers improve to 14-11 and snap a five-game losing streak. ... Grady was asked after the game who would hit leadoff if Furcal isn't ready for opening day, and he HINTED that it might be Juan Pierre, which would seem the natural fit. But it also could be Wilson Valdez if Grady doesn't want to disrupt the rest of the batting order -- and IF Valdez makes the team, which seems a virtual certainty if Furcal opens on the DL.

Hey Tony,
Any word on what pitch Kemp hit the homer off of and if he has learned to hit the breaking ball?
