On second thought, the rumors ARE true

Loney is here, and he is starting. The DFA's Brady Clark to make room for him. Get used to the fact the Dodgers aren't going to have anything close to a set lineup for a while. It's going to be a day-to-day shuffle. It's a BIG shuffle today, with no Nomar and no Kent, and, finally, Martin in the three hole.

SS Furcal
2B Abreu
C Martin
LF Gonzo
3B Betemit
1B Loney
RF Ethier
CF Pierre
RH Schmidt

Josh Rawitch, the Dodgers' PR guy, WAS NOT lying to me. He honestly didn't know because someone had neglected to tell him. Nobody's fault, just one of those things. This is a GREAT move, by the way, and long overdue.

Tony if you get a chance to speak with James in the near future please tell him that we are all very very very very very happy he is back.

OK, you and I are cross-posting each other. But now we know why Vin is behind on his news during his broadcasts sometimes -- if they don't tell Josh, he can't tell Vin.

I'd rather have Loney or Ethier in the 2 hole. Abreu's too much of a free swinger to hit #2.

I about fell out of my chair after checking the blog and seeing the news. However, this is a Sunday daygame lineup so you never can tell how much of the change is permanent. I figure that Coletti's boys (nomar/gonzo/pierre) will still be permanent lineup fixtures and play more often than they deserve.

Schmidt was rushed. He hasn't been over 86 yet. Get Billingsley ready.

Juan Pierre should retire. Please.

Halladay threw 7 pitches in the 3rd. 8 in the second. Horrible.
