The drought continues

Dodgers just keep making outs, usually through the air. Tom Gorzelanny beat the Dodgers on April 22 with a lot of strikeouts and ground balls. This time, he is getting them to pop up. Something HAS to change with this offense. Maybe it's the hitting coach. Maybe it's the collective approach (which I have been saying all year). Maybe it's something else. Ethier just doubled with two outs in the fourth. Nobody on base when it happened, though. Abreu coming up. Pirates 2, Dodgers 0, top 4

Comments

As per usual, Pierre is second in the majors in outs created this year. Combine that with incredibly awful hitters like Ramon Martinez and it screams 'shutout'.

Maybe it's...Nomar needs be be phantom DLed.

Yep, Nomar's gotta be hurt. 1 HR? And he looks so much thinner and tired. He isn't saying anything since he knows Loney would probably win the 1b spot over.

The Indians got a lot better once they canned Mr. Murry. This aggressive batting approaching is a joke. Also the fact that our best hitters right now are batting 6th 7th and 8th is joke. Grady is a joke. This is getting old. Pierre needs to move to 8th or just get cut. Nomar needs to move to the 5th spot with Martin taking over the 3 spot.

like I posted yesterday this could be our best lineup.

Furcal
Abreu
Martin
Kent
Nomar
Gonzo
Ethier
Pierre

once gonzo cools down, which he will, call up Kemp. Kemp could be our power answer but the way Grady has shown no confidence in young guys, LaRoche mainly, Kemp would probably platoon with Ethier which would be even worse then this leadoff platoon thing.

hrmmm maybe since Grady gets a chance to watch this game on tv he might notice how bad the top 3 are and how good the bottom 3 are.
