More rain in the forecast

It's been a pretty nice day here, but the forecast calls for another big storm to come through later this afternoon. If that happens, I don't think they would have any other choice but to play a doubleheader tomorrow. It was coming down in sheets yesterday, and frankly, I'm not sure why they waited until 8 o'clock local time to call the game. ... There is some band playing on the field right now, I guess just a warmup, because there is nobody in the park 3 1/2 hours before game time. Other than that, not much news so far.

I feel better with a DH tomorrow with 2 straight off days.. Last night was just what the pitching staff (and Russ Martin) needed. With a Monday off day, this would be the best spot for a twin bill. Looking forward to a hopeful acquisition of Octavio Dotel... I remember when he was hot stuff with the Mets and Astros.... Thanks Tony for all the great reports and GO BLUE !!!!!

Call me a skeptic, but I wouldn't put it past Grady to play Martin both ends tomorrow.

Hey Tony, what do you think of Ken Gurnick's gloom and doom notes on Derek Lowe?

LaRussa played Yadier Molina both ends of the doubleheader today, so I would not be surprised at all if he did.
