Diamondbacks 8, Dodgers 7

A loss is a loss is a loss, no matter how furiously you rally in the late innings, and this was a HUGE loss for the Dodgers. They fall to 58-52, the first time they have been no more than six games over .500 since May 22, when they were 26-20, and they fall three games behind the Snakes, their biggest deficit of the season. But hey, the Rockies lost, so the Dodgers don't have to worry about falling into fourth place for at least two more days. If you were waiting to book that non-refundable vacation for the first week in October, you can probably go ahead.

White/Scioscia in '08!

Wow.. a little delusional there.

anyways, TJ I don't think all hope is lost yet. I know they have been not playing well at all but on the flip side the DBacks have been playing WAY over their head. Look at their run differential and you realize they are bound to come back down to earth. That is my hope anyways.

Great Arcade,

You're right on the money. But it might be more than a little difficult to pry Scioscia away from the Angels. Besides, if Logan White was to become the GM, he would probably want to choose his own manager. And I would trust his judgment.

The other benefit would be the inevitable shakeup in the coaching staff.

Mike Scioscia was born and breed to be the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Give him a share of the team, anything. It's long over due. I'm tired of Grady Little lack of urgency or what seems to be just a lazy approach to managing.

His idea of an offensive spark is batting Olmedo Sanez 4th. Give me a break.
