Russell Martin wins Gold Glove

Probably the first of many. This is the first Gold Glove by a Dodgers catcher since Charles Johnson in 1998, but the Dodgers acquired Johnson midway through that season from Florida in the Mike Piazza trade. The last catcher to win a Gold Glove while playing the entire season with the Dodgers was John Roseboro in 1966.

Comments

Russell did a great job and is very deserving of this award. Hopefully the first of many in a dodger uniform.
