For those who care ...
The Dodgers have signed former major-league outfielder Nook Logan to a minor-league contract. It does NOT include an invitation to big-league camp, where the clubhouse is already so crowded that two guys are dressing in temporary lockers that resemble chicken wire. This news is really of more interest to fans of the Las Vegas 51s, although this IS a guy who could see some time in Los Angeles this summer if someone gets hurt or a need arises.

Tony Jackson has covered the Dodgers for the Daily News since 2004 and has covered Major League Baseball on a regular basis since 1995. He previously covered the Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds. He is a native of Springdale, Ark., and a graduate of the University of Arkansas.

Who knew Juan Pierre on steroids would actually be worse then the real Juan Pierre.

We Nationals fans say that you are welcome to Nook Logan. He really is pretty awful.

Another Nats fan here. "Awful" is way too strong. Nook is incredibly fast and makes some catches in the outfield that are beyond awesome. His problem is that he has problems with right hand pitching. But if used only against lefties, or as a pinch runner or late inning defensive replacement, he has real value.
