Next stop, Vero Beach

Ready or not, here it comes. I'm catching a redeye to Atlanta tonight, then an early morning connector to Melbourne, then a 45-minute rental car drive to Vero, where I expect to arrive around noon tomorrow. Not planning on checking in at Dodgertown until late Wednesday morning. There is a press conference with Torre on Wed. at 1, which is expected to draw a national media contingent, and I'm sure a handful of players will already be there. Thursday is mandatory reporting day for pitchers and catchers. For a variety of reasons, I'm probably not going to be posting the 6-8 times a day that I did last spring. But I promise at least one update a day, and most days, there will be more than that. And any breaking news, you will definitely find here just as soon as I can possibly get it posted. It's going to be a very, very busy spring, so check back often. ... By the way, Sweeney didn't get done today, but I'm told it's imminent.

Cant wait for all the updates Tony.

I know it can be a grind for you Tony, but rest assured we appreciate the effort.

Earlier you wrote, without signing Sweeney, the Dodgers "wouldn't have had anyone who was accustomed to pinch hitting". The way Nomar first-pitch hacks, he's just like a PH!
