Almost forgot ...

Yhency Brazoban pitched in a minor-league intrasquad today, threw 40 pitches. Once a lock to the make the team, he is now on the bubble, what with his 14.73 ERA in four appearances. ... Dinner at Bobby's tonight, for the second time this spring and probably the last time ever. Now THAT is something to shed a tear over, as any of you who has ever eaten there can attest. Hasta manana.

I can't think of a single reason for Brazoban to be on the bubble, or anywhere near the bubble.

The man is several surgeries waiting to happen, and not all of them arm-related. He's been rushed back on more than one occasion and for no apparent reason. Just like Kuo. Just like Schmidt.

The odds of any of the three having a career going forward are microscopic.

They never learn.
