Kuo, Young look like locks
The fact both of them are out of options appears to be working in their favor. Kuo is having a good spring, with a 2.35 ERA in five appearances (7 2/3 innings). Delwyn is hitting just .146, but he has cut WAY down on his strikeouts since early in camp.
This is Torre:
``I think (being out of options) has to be (a factor). To me, you have to think in terms of that. It's a matter of `Who do you take instead of ... ?' and it has to make sense. If it's an equal playing field, why lose somebody of value? I believe those two guys have value. They're both young, and Kuo is left-handed.''

Tony Jackson has covered the Dodgers for the Daily News since 2004 and has covered Major League Baseball on a regular basis since 1995. He previously covered the Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds. He is a native of Springdale, Ark., and a graduate of the University of Arkansas.

Comments
Smokescreen to increase their trade value.
That's my take.

Agreed, regarding Kuo. If they can get anything in return for him now, while he appears healthy, they oughta jump at it. And I mean anything. There's several DL visits just around the corner waiting to happen. Probably a surgery too.
Delwyn is a real stick, however. Forget that spring batting average. He'll produce in 2008.

Billingsley SHOULD NOT be throwing to Gary Bennett. That could be part of his struggles.

I like Kuo, I'm just not sure I think he'll be a good reliever. He has always preferred starting, despite just being a fastball, slider kind of pitcher.
Tony, any chance of them cutting Seanez, and letting him begin his career as a ultimate fighter?

Billingsley and Loaiza were both bad today.
Also, Juan Pierre is batting .188

Andre Ethier is stinkin it up defensively in RF today vs COL. I thought from the comments of some he could walk on water.

Ethier can't walk on water; he's just a better baseball player than Juan Pierre.

No..
But opposed to Juan "Anchor" Pierre, at least he can swim.

The Ethier story for 3/23/08:
4 (more) runners left on base - a wimpy strikeout and RF played him like a drum...another full days work Andre.

I see Ethier had an OF assist. He's terrible.

I stated in a previous thread that I would ignore Mikey.
Consequently, I make am making the following suggestion. IGNORE MIKEY, AND MAYBE HE WILL GO AWAY. If he doesn't go away, at least he won't be getting the satisfaction that he's getting under anyone's skin. In other words (and I think this has been suggested previously by another blogger), "Don't feed the troll."

In my previous post, the first sentence of the second paragraph should read, "Consequently, I am making...."
Tony,
Now you know why I need Preview :).
P.S. In the event that Mikey should comment on my "error", rest assured, I will ignore him.
