Today's lineup ... Andruw sits, Pierre plays, Kemp to center

I was wondering when this was going to happen. Andrew is now 3 for 29 and clearly is fighting himself at the plate. ... Unusually chilly day here, and the roof is almost always closed for day games anyway because the configuration of the park creates some really weird shadows. But we'll see.

Dodgers:

Furcal. SS
Kemp. CF
Ethier. RF
Kent. 2B
Loney. 1B
Martin. C
DeWitt. 3B
Pierre. LF
Kuroda. P

D-Backs:

Young. CF
Byrnes. LF
Hudson. 2B
Jackson. 1B
Reynolds. 3B
Upton. RF
Ojeda. SS
Hammock. C
Owings. P

Truth be told, I'd rather see Pierre at the plate with a runner and 3rd and less than 2 out than the 18 million dollar man.

Then again, I'd rather see Brad Penny up in that situation than Andruw Jones. And sadly, I'm not exaggerating.

Or ummm, Delwyn Young?

I don't see Pierre doing any better than Jones, and we really need Jones to produce. Not to mention the off day for everyone tomorrow.

The one benefit I do see from this, is Jones will sit and have a chance to watch the game from the bench, just a little taste of what failure and retire will bring you.

Overall I rate today's lineup B+

Yeah, Juan Pierre is in LF starting, as he should be!

Now sit ethier down & lets get it started again.

It's bad enough having to deal with trolls on Dodgers.com, but when they show up here, it's just awful.

The CF battle is really heating up.

I'd rather see pee-wee get the start!

CF battle? What CF battle? Jones is making over $18 million a season. He's just getting a day off.

Pierre is not better than Ethier. I hope you people are joking.

Troy - FYI, Mikey is either a troll and/or Pierre's agent.
