Andre Ethier may have been struggling at the plate most of the season, but he’s had game-winning hits in each of the last two games.
“I can’t believe it’s been two days in a row,” Ethier said. “You can make it through half a season or a whole season where you don’t come up with the game-winning hit. To get the opportunity two nights in a row, it’s such a good feeling.”
He hit a solo home run off Chad Durbin to win Saturday’s game in the 12th inning.
The Dodgers have won four of six games against the defending World Series champ Philadelphia Phillies this season.

Rafael Furcal homered off Brad Lidge in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to extra innings, and Andre Ethier hit a walk-off home run to center field – his second walkoff hit in as many days off Chad Durbin for the win. The Dodgers win yet another one-run game in thrilling fashion.
\Phillies 2, Dodgers 2 … to the 10th we go
Andre Ethier hit a solo home run for the Dodgers in the fourth, and Rafael Furcal hit his first career pinch hit home run in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game. Xavier Paul hit a pinch-hit home run for the Dodgers on May 15, the only two pinch-hit home runs of the season.
Today’s lineups
Rafael Furcal and Casey Blake were given days off today. Joe Torre said Furcal was just an offday and that he was just being cautious with Blake’s hamstring but that Blake would be available.
