SAN FRANCISCO — Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner is one of three finalists for the Marvin Miller Man Of The Year Award, given by the MLB Players’ Association to the player “who inspires others through his on-field performances and contributions to his community.”

New York Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson and Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo are the other finalists.

Chase Utley wins Dodgers’ annual Roy Campanella Award.

Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley has been selected as this year’s winner of the annual Roy Campanella Award.

Utley, 37, began the day batting .253 with 12 home runs, 50 RBIs and 74 runs scored in 130 games this season.

The award is given annually to the Dodgers player “who best exemplifies the spirit and leadership” of the late Hall of Fame catcher Roy Campanella. The award is voted on by the Dodgers’ uniformed personnel, players, and coaches. The award has been given out every year since 2006.

Utley will be presented with the award prior to Saturday’s game.

Adrian Gonzalez is the Dodgers’ nominee for the Roberto Clemente award.

Adrián González is named the Dodgers’ 2016 nominee for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award.

The annual award recognizes one player from each MLB Club who “best represents the game of Baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field.” González has been the Dodgers’ nominee three of the last four seasons (2013, 2015 and 2016).

Clayton Kershaw is the odds-on favorite to win the NL Cy Young Award: Bovada.

Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is currently on the disabled list, but he’s still atop the midseason list of National League Cy Young Award favorites provided by online oddsmaker Bovada. Kershaw, 27, has won the award three times in his career.

Peter O’Malley will present Vin Scully with Lifetime Achievement Award at LA Sports Awards.

First, Vin Scully got a street name.

Now, the Hall of Fame broadcaster will receive  the L.A. Sports Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Annual L.A. Sports Awards on Feb. 25. Former Dodgers president Peter O’Malley will present the award to Scully.

The two will engage in a 10-minute on-stage conversation during the show, which will be broadcast by Fox Sports West at a later date.

“I am always happy to spend time with my longtime friend Vin Scully,” O’Malley said in a statement released by the L.A. Sports Council. “Especially on an evening when he is receiving the well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award from the Los Angeles Sports Council and I know everyone will enjoy as he reminisces about his remarkable career.”
