Game 31: Dodgers benefit from an opponent’s shaky bullpen in Toronto.
TORONTO — The Dodgers turned the tables on a shaky bullpen, scoring all of their runs in the final three innings Sunday to beat the Blue Jays. The box score is here.
Kenley Jansen hasn’t discussed a contract extension with the Dodgers, but he’s content to put it off until the end of the season.
The Dodgers’ four-game series against the Mets is a rematch of a contentious National League Division Series last October.

TORONTO — Howie Kendrick is playing his fifth position this week, penciled into the Dodgers’ starting lineup at first base while Adrian Gonzalez takes a turn at DH against the Blue Jays. It’s the first time Kendrick has started at first base since 2012.
Yesterday, manager Dave Roberts said he wasn’t worried that shifting positions has contributed to Kendrick’s struggles at the plate (.194/.237/.208). Roberts attributed that more to a spring training shortened by a groin injury.
Today, Roberts explained why Kendrick is starting ahead of Justin Turner and Chase Utley, both of whom played first base for the Dodgers last season:

TORONTO — In a game decided by the bullpens, the Dodgers’ bullpen imploded. A three-run, eighth-inning home run by West Hills native Kevin Pillar broke a 2-2 tie and sent the Dodgers to a 5-2 loss against the Blue Jays. The story is here; the box score is here.
