The Dodgers have signed veteran infielder Brandon Hicks to a minor-league contract with a non-roster invitation to spring training. Hicks, 30, has played for the Braves, A’s, Mets and Giants since he made his major league debut in 2010.
Hicks has a .153 batting average in 340 career plate appearances, with experience at first base, second base, shortstop, third base and left field. One of his eight career home runs came in a May 2014 game at Dodger Stadium against Clayton Kershaw, in an eventual 7-4 loss to the Giants in 10 innings.
Hicks will wear number 15 in camp. Here’s the full list of Dodgers non-roster invitees with uniform numbers:
