Chris Heisey accepts option to Triple-A, Dodgers recall Daniel Coulombe.

Coulombe threw 24 pitches in two-thirds of an inning Wednesday for Oklahoma City, allowing two runs. Manager Don Mattingly said that Coulombe will be available during tonight’s game against the Texas Rangers nonetheless.

The left-hander will be making his fourth stint of the season with the Dodgers, having allowed three runs in 3 ⅓ innings in two games. Coulombe had appeared in 16 games with Oklahoma City, posting a 4.82 ERA and limiting opponents to a .232 batting average.

Heisey is batting .154 (4-for-26) with a double and eight walks in 17 major league games this season. He recently gained the five years’ service time necessary to reject a minor-league assignment, but he accepted this one. It’s the fourth time he has been optioned to Oklahoma City since the season began.

Dodgers recall Chris Heisey from Triple-A, place Scott Van Slyke (back) on disabled list.

DENVER — Chris Heisey has been recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City for his fourth stint in the majors this season. He’s in the starting lineup in Game 1 of a doubleheader Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies.

Scott Van Slyke was placed on the 15-day disabled list with mid-back tightness. Van Slyke said Saturday in St. Louis that he believed the issue was behind him after having missed the previous three games.

Van Slyke went 0 for 3 that night and did not play Sunday or Monday. He has a .264/.313/.402 slash line in 34 games this season, but only has four hits and two walks in his last 38 plate appearances.

Heisey, 30, has appeared in five games for the Dodgers this season and collected one hit and five walks.

Dodgers officially recall Mike Bolsinger, option Chris Heisey to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The Dodgers announced today that Mike Bolsinger has been recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and will start today’s game against the Miami Marlins. Outfielder Chris Heisey was optioned to Oklahoma City to clear a spot on the Dodgers’ 25-man roster.

Bolsinger has never faced the Marlins in his career.

In his only major-league start with the Dodgers on April 23, Bolsinger allowed one run in 5 ⅔ innings. He took a shutout into the sixth inning against the San Francisco Giants, but did not factor into the decision.

In four starts at Triple-A, Bolsinger has allowed only three runs. He has a 1.42 earned-run average and 28 strikeouts in 19 innings.

The Dodgers have rotated their fifth starter’s position among five different pitchers this season (Bolsinger, Baker, Wieland, Frias and David Huff) due to Hyun-Jin Ryu’s shoulder injury. Combined, they have a 4.97 ERA.
