The Dodgers activated utility player Kiké Hernandez from the disabled list today and optioned Austin Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Hernandez is in the Dodgers’ starting lineup and playing center field, manager Dave Roberts said.

Barnes went 1 for 4 with a double in his latest cup of coffee with the Dodgers, which consisted of four games.

Hernandez missed 26 games with inflammation in his left ribcage. He’s seen time at second base, third base, shortstop, center field, left field and designated hitter this season. Hernandez is slashing .189/.280/.346 in 65 games.

Here are both lineup for the 1 p.m. game:

Clayton Kershaw: Still no timeline for Dodgers’ ace to begin throwing program.

Clayton Kershaw still hasn’t picked up a baseball since his ill-fated bullpen session earlier this month. The left-hander is presently on the 15-day disabled list with a mildly herniated disc in his lower back, and there’s still no timetable for him to resume throwing.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts updated the status of Kershaw and utility player Enrique Hernandez prior to Saturday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks:

Game 101: Chris Archer falls, but might have left the Dodgers wanting more.

If the Dodgers trade for Chris Archer, the Tampa Bay right-hander offered an enticing preview in the Dodgers’ 3-2 win on Tuesday. The box score is here. The photo gallery is here.

Clayton Kershaw and Andre Ethier haven’t given up on playing this season, and Major League Baseball told Yasiel Puig not to wear his Vin Scully cleats or else face a $5,000 fine.

Kiké Hernandez, playing his final rehab game for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga tonight, played nine innings in center field and finished 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored.

Hernandez is on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his left rib cage. He’ll continue his rehab assignment at Double-A Tulsa.

The Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg is haunted, and the Dodgers have (something resembling) proof.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A haunted hotel occupies the postage stamp-sized downtown of this, the 79th largest-city in America. More remarkably, so does the home stadium of a Major League Baseball team.

Teams visiting St. Petersburg to play the Tampa Bay Rays have many options when choosing a hotel in the area, and they often pick the haunted one.

The Vinoy Hotel was built in 1925. It expanded in 1992 to include a picturesque tower, which is not haunted by all accounts. Depending on where you stay, then, your visit to the Vinoy might not be very eventful.

Kiké Hernandez had an eventful night Monday.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Kiké Hernandez will be the Dodgers’ designated hitter for the opener of their two-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Hernandez is leading off against left-hander Matt Moore. Joc Pederson is starting in center field — just like Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said last week — and shortstop Corey Seager is getting the day off in favor of Charlie Culberson. Pederson and Adrian Gonzalez are the only left-handers in the lineup for the 4 p.m. (PT) interleague game.

Here are the full lineups for both teams:
