As expected, Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp undergoes shoulder clean-up procedure.

Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp will undergo a clean-up procedure on the AC joint of his left shoulder later today.

Kemp missed 15 days in July because of inflammation of the joint. Team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who will perform the surgery, told reporters in September that it would be six weeks from the time of the surgery before Kemp could resume baseball activities.

The Dodgers said that Kemp will start rehabilitation 2-3 days from now and is expected to be ready for spring training.

On Oct. 5 2012, Kemp underwent a major procedure to repair a torn labrum, and minor debridement of the rotator cuff, in his left shoulder.
