Activists rush field during Dodgers-Giants game, raising awareness of Angel Pagan. Update.

SAN FRANCISCO — Two activists who rushed the field during the fourth inning of Friday’s Giants-Dodgers game did little to raise awareness of animals, but at least one of them raised awareness of Angel Pagan‘s WWE-caliber takedown prowess. See for yourself:

A closer look reveals the man extending a white flower to Pagan, the Giants’ left fielder, who for a moment appears ready to receive the “gift,” then changes his mind:

SAN DIEGO — The Dodgers announced their starting rotation for the final six games of the season:

Tuesday at San Diego: Kenta Maeda
Wednesday: Jose De Leon
Thursday: Julio Urias
Friday at San Francisco: Rich Hill
Saturday: Clayton Kershaw
Sunday: Maeda

Update (6:20 p.m.): Roberts said that Kershaw, Hill and Maeda will start Games 1, 2 and 3 of the National League Division Series against the Washington Nationals in that order. The starting assignment for Game 4 is to be determined. Maeda wanted two starts before the regular season ends, not one, which is why he’s starting tonight and not tomorrow.

Roberts discussed his season-ending rotation Tuesday afternoon:

Veteran left-handers Brett Anderson and Scott Kazmir will have a chance to audition for a playoff start down the stretch.

Looking ahead to the postseason is only natural, writes columnist Jeff Miller, while the Dodgers take it one game at a time.

The Dodgers had no answer for a technically-outside-the-park home run in a 2-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants. The box score is here. The photo gallery is here.

Kenta Maeda has been quietly consistent for the Dodgers this season, writes Mark Whicker. Maeda starts Wednesday night.

Brandon McCarthy threw a simulated game and could figure into the Dodgers’ plans this year.

Watch: Giants’ Eduardo Nuñez hits a triple that becomes a home run.

The only run Dodgers pitcher Rich Hill allowed Tuesday night began its existence as a triple.

Eduardo Nuñez hit a deep fly ball that bounced off a camera just above the left field fence, off the top of the fence, and then back onto the field. A short review turned the hit from a triple into a home run. See for yourself:

It was the only run Hill allowed, and through seven innings it’s the only run for either team.
