Atticus ~ I’m famous… again!

 Dear Readers,

Not too long ago I shared the news that I had been selected Pet of the Month by Bamboo Pet Products and now you can finally see me on the cover of the company’s newsletter. All you have to do is visit www.bamboopet.com and look for the newsletter signup at the bottom of the page. It’s free to register and Bamboo won’t bug you to buy stuff. Sign up, they’ll send it and you can see me!!

Bamboo also sent me some cool prizes- I received three fun toys. I really love the soft squeaker!! I also got a beautiful green fuzzy blanket to keep me comfy on car rides or just cuddling with my mom. So when you check out my photo and the nice things Bamboo said about me, you just might want to look over the toys and other products they have for your pets. And yes, they also have toys for cats, although we all know that cats only play with them when you’re not looking… cats are just sooo insecure about their coolness factor!

As for me, I’m off to play with my new toys and trying to act like I’m not guilty when mom wonders what’s different about her computer!

Paws up,

Atticus

Last chance to see the Queen

Ok, I’ll be honest, it’s not really the last you’ll see of me, but the end is near for “The Purse and The Person” exhibit at the Pasadena Museum of History, which includes yours truly in its slideshow of Pasadena VIPs.

Friday evening I have been invited to a soiree for museum members and people involved with the show. Yes, I will be toasted and feted and all that good stuff befitting of my regal glory.  Unfortunately this event is closed to the public, so you probably won’t be joining me, but I encourage you to catch this intriguing exhibit before it’s gone.

“The Purse and The Person: A Century of Women’s Purses”

Fit(ness) for a Queen

5868-ztattoo707m-thumb-300x178.jpg

I am known around SoCal for my expertise in belly dancing with swords. Heck, that’s how I garnered the Doo Dah crown. But a grrrl’s got to have variety to keep in shape, so I’m going to share my secret- I take an abs, glutes and thighs class followed by yoga every Saturday morning. A new term is beginning, so you have an opportunity to bask in regal splendor while getting fit or perhaps there’s another class to your liking. Either way, here’s the information:

Dancin’ Queen

It’s been sorta quite on the Doo Dah Parade front, but not totally. Afterall, a Queen’s gotta dance.

Here’s a photo of me from Atomic Raq-It!, a belly dance event with an oldies theme. I performed to the old favorite “Sugar, Sugar” and it was really sweet (pardon the pun!).

Sharing this is a round-about way of telling you that if you don’t go to 1st Friday Art Night at McGinty’s Gallery at the End of the World in Pasadena on April 4, you’ll be missing out on a lot of fun. Check back here for more information or visit www.myspace.com/galleryattheendoftheworld.

See ya at the soda fountain!

Big news from a little dog ~ Atticus named Pet of the Month

Hello loyal fans!

Mommy is at work and she’s left the computer on so I thought I’d bring you up to date.

She had a great time on Esotouric’s Route 66 bus tour last Saturday and has promised some photos soon. Smelling her shoes, I detected stops at Rubal’s Castle, Aztec Hotel, Covina Bowl and a quarry in Irwindale. She also had a nice lunch at Phillippe’s in L.A. and didn’t bring me a doggie bag! Horrors!!

Well, that’s just fine. She can flaunt her Doo Dah Royalty stuff all she wants, but she won’t ever be considered for my latest honor. I’ve been named “Pet of the Month” by Bamboo, a pet products company. They sell all kinds of goodies, from practical stuff to cool toys. Here’s the e-mail they sent my mom:

Dear Michelle:

Congratulations! Atticus has been awarded our “Pet of the Month” for March.  We are currently drafting the news blurb to include in next month’s Paw Print.

Be sure to tell your friends and family to sign up for the Paw Print at http://bamboopet.com/.  If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a section to add your e-mail address.

Once again, congratulations!

So sign up and see me in your e-mail. You don’t even have to put your shoes on!!

Paws up,

Atticus
