Dancin' Queen

zSugarSugar.JPGIt's been sorta quite on the Doo Dah Parade front, but not totally. Afterall, a Queen's gotta dance.

Here's a photo of me from Atomic Raq-It!, a belly dance event with an oldies theme. I performed to the old favorite "Sugar, Sugar" and it was really sweet (pardon the pun!).

Sharing this is a round-about way of telling you that if you don't go to 1st Friday Art Night at McGinty's Gallery at the End of the World in Pasadena on April 4, you'll be missing out on a lot of fun. Check back here for more information or visit www.myspace.com/galleryattheendoftheworld.

See ya at the soda fountain!

Hello! Nice to hear from you! Unfortunately I had already made arrangements to go with my brother to a motorcycle show, so I missed ArtNight. But I got some great info on where we can get my Triumph repainted and rechromed! And I will definitely be at 1 Friday Art Night at McGinty's Gallery at the End of the World April 4 and am working on stories about Shumei Art Council and the Pasadena Playhouse.
Miss you!!

I am a features staff writer for the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group, and after seven auditions resulting in five consecutive years spent as a runner-up, I finally, rightfully, became the Queen of the 31st Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade 2007/2008. I love rock n' roll, motorcycles, swords and sushi. I hate sitting still. Read my blog regularly to bring some excitement into your otherwise dull existence.
