Doo Dah float near completion

| | Comments (0)

Noon-5 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at McGinty's Gallery at the End of the World, 2475 N. Lake Ave., Altadena, is your last chance to be a part of creating Queen of Arts, the outgoing queen float for the 33rd Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade on May 1.

Dress appropriately to help with the float and also bring a cardboard box for you to resculpt and decorate, along with any special rickrack, notions and other sparkly stuff you might want to use. Our theme is art.

You do not need any special talents or artistic ability to help with the float~ we will teach you and find something that you can do and have fun too!

In turn, you will be welcome to march with our entry in the parade the following Saturday.

For more information on the Doo Dah Parade, visit www.pasadenadoodahparade.info.

The Gallery is next door to Rancho Bar. The nearest cross street is Mariposa.

Hope to see you there!

Now carry on, as you were,

Queen Mickie

Michelle Mills aka Naughty Mickie

I am a features staff writer for the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group, and after seven auditions resulting in five consecutive years spent as a runner-up, I finally, rightfully, became the Queen of the 31st Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade 2007/2008. I love rock n' roll, motorcycles, swords and sushi. I hate sitting still. Read my blog regularly to bring some excitement into your otherwise dull existence. Oh, and you may stop kneeling now and carry on -- as you were... ~ Follow me on Twitter @ Mickieszoo ~
