Cocktails with Royalty rocks Pasadena

I had a wonderful time Sunday at Cocktails with Royalty at the Pasadena Museum of History to benefit the upcoming Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade exhibit. It was great to see so many former Doo Dah Queens, as well as the current one- the vivacious Patrizzi Intergarlactica.

There were also many Doo Dah and Pasadena history fans in attendance, including my loyal subject (and reader) Don Maddox. Don came over to introduce himself and we had a nice little chat– it was such a pleasure to meet one of my fans who has emailed me over the years.

The media was on hand too, getting the story minute by minute as the fun played out. Please enjoy these photos by Terry Miller:  A staircase full of Queens, a trio of Queens- the reigning Patrizzi Intergarlactica and moi.

Terry also got some shots of me and my royal escort Dean Lee having a giggle. You know how I am– a Queen always needs entourage or at least an escort. Their job is to cater to her needs so she can focus on her duties during an event. Dean did not dissappoint, plus he told some good jokes– not bad for a first-timer.

The next big event where you can meet Royalty will be Saturday, Aug. 18 at the grand opening of “What A Long Strange Trip It’s Been: 35 Years of the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade.” For details, keep tuned here and also visit www.pasadenahistory.org.
