Playoff standings update.

| | Comments (0)
Tough break for the Ducks last night: Dallas lost, but they couldn't gain ground because of their own 3-0 loss in Chicago. San Jose has moved up to the 4th spot in the conference standings which -- if the playoffs began today -- might not be a horrible scenario. The Sharks are curiously bad at home and the Ducks have historically had their number at all times and in all places.

1. DETROIT: 44-18-6; 94 points; 122 possible points; 14 games left (9 at home)
2. DALLAS: 41-24-5; 87 points; 111 possible points; 12 games left (6 at home)
3. MINNESOTA: 37-25-5; 79 points; 109 possible points; 15 games left (7 at home)
4. SAN JOSE: 38-21-8; 84 points; 114 possible points; 15 games left (7 at home)
5. DUCKS: 38-24-7; 83 points; 109 possible points; 13 games left (7 at home)
