Ryan Carter re-ups

| | Comments (0)
The Ducks signed Ryan Carter to a three-year contract today. I'll talk to him this afternoon, get some numbers in the paper tomorrow ... but what a reward for a guy who wasn't expected to be a major contributor - then ended up bumping Doug Weight from the rotation in the playoffs.

Carter's NHL stats: 4 goals, 4 assists, 36 penalty minutes in 34 games.

About J.P.

J.P. Hoornstra has been covering the Anaheim Ducks since 2007. Eight months after the University of Wisconsin won its third NCAA hockey championship, he was born in a frigid Madison winter. He betrayed his blue-blooded beginnings by graduating from UCLA in 2003, and welcomes any and all dialogue on the finer points of hockey.
