Sunday in Maine.

Sundays in Maine usually fly under the Southern California sports radar, but tomorrow should be an interesting one.
The Ducks' primary AHL affiliate in Portland is hosting Game 3 of their best-of-seven playoff series with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (three words. two cities in Pennsylvania. love it.) The series is tied 1-1, and some notable ex-Ducks have been in the middle of the fray. Bobby Ryan has seven goals and 13 points in 11 playoff games. Jason King and Geoff Platt have five goals each in the playoffs. J-S Aubin is starring in commercials on Vs. in a Kings uniform and simultaneously posting a 9-2 playoff record in Maine. That's pretty sick, gotta admit.

But you don't have to take my word for it. Updates here.

About J.P.

J.P. Hoornstra has been covering the Anaheim Ducks since 2007. Eight months after the University of Wisconsin won its third NCAA hockey championship, he was born in a frigid Madison winter. He betrayed his blue-blooded beginnings by graduating from UCLA in 2003, and welcomes any and all dialogue on the finer points of hockey.
