No more Joe DiPenta.

Ducks VP of hockey operations Bob Murray confirmed a report on the Frolunda Indians’website that Joe DiPenta has signed with the Swedish Elite League team.

DiPenta appeared in 23 games as the Ducks’ seventh defenseman, notching four assists, and scoring one goal in the final week of the season. He was known for a standout attitude despite mediocre skill, as well as yielding one of fewer than 20 wooden sticks in the NHL.

FYI: The Indians are coached by former Ducks nemesis (Stars, Sharks) Ulf Dahlen.
