The Anaheim Ducks announced that the Wild Wingers Kids Club and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) have teamed up for the third annualKits for Kids Donation Drive, giving Ducks fans the opportunity to purchase Kids Club kits for CHOC patients. Every $20 Kids Club kit purchased by Ducks fans will be personally delivered by Ducks players when the team makes its holiday visit to the hospital in December.
“The donation drive has proven to be a great occasion for our fans to help make a difference,” said Ducks Director of Fan Development
Over 1,600 Kids Club kits were purchased by Ducks fans last year in time for the holidays. As a token of gratitude, donors who purchase two Kids Club kits will receive an autographed Ducks player photo. Those who purchase five kits will automatically be entered for a chance to meet Ducks forwardRyan Getzlafafter an upcoming home game at Honda Center. All donors who purchase 10-or-more kits will be entered into a drawing to win a 20-person suite for a Ducks game this season.
CHOC patients who receive a kit will enjoy such benefits as one ticket voucher to a select 2008-09 Anaheim Ducks home game, a Kids Club hanging calendar, beanie, long-sleeved shirt, light-up slap shot shaker and water bottle. In addition, every patient receives a Wild Wingers Kids Club ID Duck Tag, which provides discounts to Knott’s Berry Farm, San Diego Zoo,
