Giguere, S.Niedermayer, Getzlaf are all-stars.

“I’m sure there’s a lot of people from there that voted for me, I guess,” Jean-Sebastien Giguere said when I asked him about the possible Montreal voting contingent that elected the Ducks’ goalie to his first all-star game on Saturday. That’s right — Jiggy has never made an NHL all-star game either as a starter or as a backup. But if he’s healthy come Jan. 25, he’ll be between the pipes to start the game for the Western Conference in his native Montreal.

Two other Ducks will start. Scott Niedermayer made his one millionth all-star game (actually his fifth), and Ryan Getzlaf is going for the second straight year. That’s three Ducks starters, a team record. Check out their comments here and read tomorrow’s editions for more details.
