Festerling up.
Brett Festerling is coming back up from Iowa and is likely to suit up tomorrow against Dallas. He didn't arrive in time to practice Thursday morning in Anaheim. Bret Hedican (back) is still resting, so the blueline tomorrow will probably consist of Niedermayer, Pronger, Whitney, Brookbank, Festerling and Wisniewski.
Here's what Randy Carlyle had to say about Festerling's (re)arrival:
"With Festerling, the thing was, we felt we couldn't have
Mikkelson and Festerling here at the same time. We thought Festerling is
competitive. He's played well for us. We owed Mikkelson a look. We thought
Festerling could go down and continue to play strong. He's done that. He was
never out of our minds because he had been able to stick here. He complemented
Scotty Niedermayer. They played well together, provided us a pairing. We think
he can play well with any other one of our D, if it's Brookbank, if it's
Pronger. He's very versatile. He's not going to change his game. He's not a big
guy in stature, but he plays close to maybe Beauchemin from a standpoint (that)
he's a puck-mover, he's aggressive. He's not as physical as Beauchemin, but at
times he can play that way."

He betrayed his blue-blooded beginnings by graduating from UCLA in 2003, and welcomes any and all dialogue on the finer points of hockey.
