Forwards George Parros, Petteri Nokelainen and Erik Christensen all underwent surgery this week, a team spokesperson relayed Monday, while Todd Marchant is scheduled to go under the knife on Wednesday.
Parros had successful surgery on June 2 to repair a torn tendon and remove scar tissue in his right hand. The procedure was performed at the Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center in Los Angeles by Dr. Steve Shin. Parros is expected to be fully recovered for training camp.
Nokelainen had successful surgery last Friday to repair two tears in his abdominal muscle. The surgery was performed by Dr. William Myers in Philadelphia. He is expected to be fully recovered by training camp.
Christensen underwent successful surgery last Thursday to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. The procedure was performed by Ducks team physician Dr. Ronald Glousman at the Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center in Los Angeles. Christensen will begin physical therapy in a few weeks and is expected to return to the ice in September.
Marchant will undergo surgery this Wednesday, June 10 to repair a fracture in his left foot. The injury was suffered on March 22 vs. Phoenix. Dr. Ken Jung will perform the routine procedure at theKerlan-Jobe Surgery Center. Marchant is expected to fully recovered by the start of training camp.
